City break Zadar is a perfect opportunity to discover the culture, the actual lifestyle, pace and true character of this town. Zadar has its own special colour and its entirely own urban character. Combined with a full day tour to  Krka National Park, it can attract the demanding visitor.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: COMING TO ZADAR

Upon arrival at Zadar Airport, transfer to the hotel. Check in to the hotel with 4*. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: ZADAR

After breakfast follows a sightseeing with a travel guide. Zadar is a city and port of northern Dalmatia, as well as the center of the most indented part of the Adriatic archipelago. The old city center is situated on a sheltered peninsula around a natural harbor. This is a city with three thousand years of history, and therefore has a rich cultural and historical heritage. The area is full of natural beauties, numerous bays and rocky and pebble beaches, and cultural and historical sights such as the city walls, the Roman Forum, the Romanesque Cathedral of St. Anastasia, the unique Sea Organ, Greeting the Sun, Kresimir Cosic hall, the Land Gate, the Great Arsenal, Citadel, the church of St. Mary, St. Donat – one of the oldest Croatian churches and symbol of the city.

Free afternoon for your own activities. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: KRKA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you will go to fully day tour to Krka National Park as one of the Croatian national parks, named after the river Krka that it encloses. It is located along the middle-lower course of the Krka River in central Dalmatia, in Sibenik-Knin county. It encompasses an area of 109 square kilometers along the Krka River: two kilometers downriver from Knin to Skradin and the lower part of the river Cikola. The Krka National Park is a spacious, largely unchanged region of exceptional and multifaceted natural value, and includes one or more preserved or insignificantly altered ecosystems. The attractions and facilities available are various footpaths, sightseeing tours and presentations, boat trips, souvenir shops, a museum, and restaurants. There are also several archaeological remains of unpreserved fortresses in the park’s vicinity dating back to as far as the Roman times. Skradinski buk is a massive, clear, natural pool with high waterfalls at one end and cascades. Roski slap is the second most popular attraction in terms of numbers of visits. Inside the park is the island of Visovac which was founded during the reign of Louis I of Hungary, home to the Roman Catholic Visovac Monastery founded by the Franciscans in 1445 near Miljevci village. The park also includes the Eastern Orthodox Monastery Krka founded in 1345.

After this excursions, return to the hotel in Zadar. Dinner and overnight.

 

DAY 4: ZADAR – RETURN HOME

After breakfast check out of a hotel room. Transfer to the airport. Sign up for your flight.
