Samobor - private tour - half day excursion

from 75 € Send request

Samobor is one of the most popular and most visited small city in continental Croatia. A small town located on the eastern slopes of the Samobor mountains, which is only about twenty kilometers away from Zagreb.

Every week, particularly over weekends, several thousands of visitors come to Samobor. Magnificent promenades in the town, protected forests as its perimeter and gourmet specialities of popular Samobor restaurants are the strongest lure for the visitors. However, other elements (cultural and historic heritage, traditional events, sport facilities) will also ensure your stay in town is enjoyable.

ITINERARY:

In the morning an air-conditioned car will pick you up at your hotel and head up to Samobor. This tour will thoroughly relax you, for it leads you to the park and the promenade and alongside a romantic stream that will take you from the square to the very foot of the Old Town. Continuing along Dr. F. Tudman’s walkaway, you will pass the Museum and arrive at Vugrinscak. Stepping over the stream at two points, carry on along the Taborec Street, to the Church of St. Michael (on the left). A steep climb will bring you to the Old Town (straight ahead). In wet weather, you can begin your tour by taking Livadiceva Street, continue along Starogradska and then take the second left (Vugrinscak). Though narrowish, the road is paved and the Vugrinscak walkaway is graveled, so the tour is possible in the worst of weather conditions (rain or snow). In case of inclement weather, you may wind up the walk at the Church of St. Michael, or alternatively (more likely) in the popular ”Gabreku” Tavern nearby.

After exploring this picturesque town, you will return to your car and relax on your journey to Zagreb.
